Dr. Knight's practice specializes in clinical geropsychology and adult development and aging. He is available for psychological assessment of older adults and for psychotherapy with an emphasis on depression, anxiety, dealing with chronic illness, and caregiving issues. Dr. Knight has been a full time faculty member at USC's School of Gerontology and Department of Psychology since 1988 and directed the Ventura County Mental Health Senior Outreach Services program in the 1980s. He is the author of Psychotherapy with Older Adults.

In psychotherapy, he has training in family systems, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
