Dr. Bedics' expertise lies in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for the treatment of borderline personality disorder (BPD) and suicidal behavior. He had the unique privilege of working closely with the developer of DBT, Dr. Marsha Linehan, as a clinician and researcher. Dr. Bedics was a research therapist on a large randomized-controlled trial of DBT for adolescents (CARES Study). He also has experience as a DBT Adherence Coder for several studies examining the efficacy of DBT. As a DBT provider, Dr. Bedics is also trained in standard cognitive-behavioral therapy for a variety of commonly co-occurring problems with BPD including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dr. Bedics provides clinical services through his faculty practice at California Lutheran University Community Counseling Center (CLU-CC) where is also the Director of the DBT Training Specialization in the Graduate School of Psychology. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Bedics accepts clients on a sliding scale in his DBT Training Program at CLU-CC where clients can work with one of his doctoral students or with Dr. Bedics in a group setting.
