Dr. Mary Large is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist who obtained her undergraduate degree from UCLA, her Ph.D. from California School of Professional Psychology, and completed a two-year, post-doctoral training program in clinical neuropsychology. For the last 25 years, the primary focus of her practice is neuropsychological, developmental, and forensic evaluations, with an emphasis on pediatrics. Dr. Large has expertise in evaluating autism spectrum disorders, attentional problems, learning disabilities, deficits in executive functioning, and complex behavioral and/or emotional problems. Additional areas of expertise include evaluation of acquired brain/head injuries, children who have prenatal exposure to alcohol and/or drugs, hypoxic injuries, children who were extremely premature and/or had very low birth weight, and those who may have neuropsychological compromise secondary to a medical condition such as a seizure disorder, cerebral palsy, and the like. Dr. Large has served as an expert witness in school district mediation procedures and hearings, Regional Center hearings, and civil and criminal court proceedings. She maintains a small therapeutic practice working with adult patients, and providing parent consultations.
